Camp gradÂuÂatÂed from WesÂleyÂan UnÂiÂverÂsiÂty in 1878 and reÂceived a MasÂter of Arts in 1881. He went on to stuÂdy law, but found that muÂsic was his true voÂcaÂtion. In 1882, he beÂcame orÂganÂist at the Park ConÂgreÂgaÂtionÂal Church in HartÂford, ConÂnecÂtiÂcut, and in 1906 orÂganÂist at the CenÂter Church in HartÂford, ConÂnecÂtiÂcut.
