William Blow was born in 1819 in York, Yorkshire, England and christened in September 14, 1819 at St. Michael-le-Belfry, York. He was a descendant of John Blow. William served as Rector of Layer Breton, Essex, and was an amateur violinist and violin collector. He died on December 25, 1886 in Layer Breton, Essex, England.
