Coleman was a member of the Dr. Fuller's Old Fashioned Revival Hour quartet. With music degrees from USC, he began as a music teacher, eventually becoming Coordinator of music for the Orange County Schools. He was Educational Director for Walt Disney Corporation, and Musical Director for Oral Roberts World Action Singers and the King Family TV Series.
