Text relationship

The text relationship refers to the relationship of a text person to a text (e.g. "Author", "Versifier", "Translator", etc.).

Guidelines

  • Select a relationship from the list.
  • If the relationship is not on the list select an appropriate one from http://www.loc.gov/marc/relators/relaterm.html
  • If no relationship is listed, enter "Author".
  • Also include extra information, such as stanza numbers, if more than one author wrote different stanzas, or such as "attributed to". Add the extra information in parentheses, e.g. "Author (stanzas 1-2)".
