Hymnary is a work in progress and we welcome contributions of knowledgeable volunteers, so you are welcome to contribute a better biography and add it to the information from Julian.
Thanks, Dianne and Hutcheson
I appreciate that, and when I have time to spare for it I do contribute. At the moment I'm wrapped up in trying to get the program together for our Evergreen Hymn-Sing #6, "Wesley, Watts & the AGO", and am just noting in passing things that I see may need emending. And I am wondering what the E in Wesley_SE is about.
The E in Wesley
The E stood for Elder, the J stood for Junior, and the C stood for Composer, since there are 3 Samuel Wesley's in the database and it wasn't easy remembering which dates went with each person. However, we are now spelling out the first names in the identifier so I changed them, for instance to Wesley_SamuelElder.
Ah, now I can rest easy
It makes good sense.
