National Baptist Hymnal 1903 double tunes

You are here

I am editing the National Baptist Hymnal 1903. On some pages, there are two separate tunes for one set of words. There is no "A" or "B" indicated - just one number. Ex. - #174 has one tune at the top of the page and another at the bottom. How do I handle this in entering the tunes? Using the notes field will not allow the secondary hymn tune to be searchable, will it?

Comments

Where there are two tunes for one hymn number, then renumber so there is a 174a and add a 174b for the second tune. The added 174b will initially be added at the end of the hymnal but you can sort the numbers so it shows up after 174a.
