For our 175th anniversary, our church wants to use hymns that might have been used in 1841. I have "Introduction to Sacred Music ... by A. S. Hayden. Pittsburgh, 1838. (shape notes) Any suggestions of other hymns?

Using the search boxes on the left hand side, under "Add a field," you can use the field "Publication date" under the heading "Hymnals", then enter 1841, or a range such as 1838-1841, to find hymnals published at this time. You can turn on the column for Denominations, which may also be helpful to you.
