| Text: | Lord Incline Thine Ear |
| Author: | Michael Mueller |
1 Lord, incline Thine ear,
My petition hear.
When from deepest depths I'm crying,
Thy help can'st not be denying.
My petition hear,
Lord, incline Thine ear.
2 I've shed many tears,
Been in doubts and fears.
Thou dost hear my constant sighing,
Through dark clouds my voice outcrying.
Dry my many tears,
Banish doubts and fears.
3 From Thy throne alone
Can forgiveness come.
If God is in us abiding
We can sense His hand us guiding.
Only from Thy throne
Can forgiveness come.
4 Since from Thee I've strayed,
Lord, I'm sore afraid.
My poor soul is faint with sorrow,
Waiting for a brighter morrow.
Since from Thee I've strayed,
I am sore afraid.
5 When I trust in Thee
There is hope for me.
Let my soul heed Thy direction;
Let Thy words inspire reflection
That they comfort me.
Lord, I pray to Thee.
