1 Jesus is our Captain, we His soldiers true,
And we must be ready, His commands to do;
Let us hasten forward, fighting till we win,
We must follow Jesus, we must conquer sin.

2 Evil, like a barrier, stands on ev’ry side,
Strong is Satan’s army, stronger still our Guide;
We must never waver, we must faithful be,
Let us follow Jesus, on to victory. [Refrain]

3 Christ, our Lord, has broken Satan’s cruel sway,
Since the ever glorious resurrection day;
We may also conquer, in the daily fight,
As we follow Jesus, trusting in His might. [Refrain]

4 Fierce the battle rages, mighty is the foe,
But our Captain cheers us as we onward go;
Sorrow will be ended when He comes again,
And with endless praises we shall greet Him then. [Refrain]
