1 I heard the Saviour calling
In accents sweet and low;
For ever calling, calling,
And yet I would not go.

Refrain:
O strange to say, I turned away
From One who loved me so.

2 I heard the Saviour calling
So clear above the din;
Forever calling, calling,
“O say, may I come in?” [Refrain]

3 I heard the Saviour calling
With pity so divine;
Forever calling, calling,
It reached this heart of mine. [Refrain]
