47. Bless our School To-day

1 Father, look upon us now,
While at Thy feet we bow;
In Thy mercy come, we pray;
Bless our Sunday School today.

2 Cheer our superintendent, Lord,
O cheer him with Thy word;
Help him still a light to be,
Guiding precious souls to Thee.

3 Bless our teachers; may they share
Thy ever watchful care,
O reward their patient love,
In a brighter world above.

4 Help us, while Thy book we read,
Each one its truth to heed;
Life anew within us wake,
Hear our prayer for Jesus’ sake.
