En el tempestuoso mar;
Fieras ondas mi bajel
Van a hacerlo zozobrar,
Mas si Tú conmigo vas
Pronto al puerto llegaré;
Carta y brújula hallo en Ti:
Cristo, mi piloto sé.

2 Todo agita el huracán
Con indómito furor,
Mas los vientos cesarán
Al mandato de tu voz;
Si Tú dices que haya paz,
Cederá sumiso el mar,
De las aguas, Tú, el Señor,
Cual piloto me guiarás.

3 Cuando al fin cercano esté
De la playa celestial,
Si el abismo ruge aún
Entre el puerto y mi bajel,

En tu pecho al descansar:
