97. O Star Divine

1 Hail, Star divine, oh: wondrous light,
Shed o’er our hearts Thy radiance bright,
Illumine all our lives, and be,
Our guiding Star, eternally.

Refrain:
Oh! Star divine, Thy heav’nly beams,
Dispel all gloom, Thy glory gleams,
O’er heav’n and earth, and all may know,
Within their hearts, Thy peaceful glow.

2 Oh! Star divine, so bright, so blest,
Directing souls to vales of rest,
Shine on in love ‘till all unite,
To thank Thee for Thy peerless light. [Refrain]

3 Shine on, ‘till heav’n and earth combine,
To worship at Thy sacred shine,
Lead Thou us on, be Thou our guide,
To yonder home beyond the tide. [Refrain]
