| Text: | Sowing and Reaping |
| Author: | W. H. Ruebush |
| Tune: | [Sowing seed in the morning fair] |
| Composer: | J. H. Hall |
Sowing seed in the morning fair,
Growing, growing be careful where;
Sow them then with a tho’tful care,
We shall also reap.
Refrain:
Sowing on the fertile plain
Slowing seed that will spring again;
May it be the perfect grain,
We shall also reap.
1 By the wayside some seed may die,
Some may scorch on the rocks nearby;
Let some seed in the good ground lie,
We shall also reap.
2 Some will bloom with a fragrance sweet,
Some will spring into life complete,
Some will lay at the Master’s feet,
May we such grain reap. [Refrain]
