1 Comforter holy, come to the lowly,
Come in Thy mercy, Heavenly Dove;
Keep us from straying, help us in praying,
Witness of Jesus, tell of His love.

Comforter holy, Thy blessings impart,
Come to the lowly, abide in each heart.

2 Spirit of glory, brighten life’s story,
Kindle our altars, Spirit of Light;
Sin all consuming, darkness illuming,
Gift of the Father! banish our night. [Refrain]

3 Draw gently near us, quicken and cheer us,
Like morning dewdrops, freshening the flower;
Wondrously guiding, tenderly chiding,
