1 Our heav’nly Father! as we bow before Thee,
Hear us, Thy children, in our humble prayer;
In childlike trust our souls would fain adore Thee,
And praise and bless Thee for Thy loving care.

2 Thou art our Father, Thou so high and holy,
And may we venture on Thy name to call;
For still Thy voice invites the meek and lowly,
Thy heav’nly love does seek and keep us all.

3 Help us to lay aside all worldly feeling,
To give our hearts to goodness, truth, and love;
Oh, send Thy Spirit, with its deep revealing,
To lift our souls from earth to Heav’n above.
