13140. When This Life Is O'er

1 When this life is o’er on that bright, golden shore,
We shall worship the Savior we love;
Free from pain and care, endless blessings to share
In that beautiful, sweet home above.

Refrain:
O how happy we’ll be over death’s silent sea,
There to dwell with the ones gone before;
Praising Christ, our king, we forever shall sing,
When this life with its trials is o’er!

2 If we’re saved while here, we shall have not a fear,
When the reckoning day shall have come;
For around the throne He will crown us His own,
And will welcome to Heaven, our home. [Refrain]

3 When this life is o’er, we shall labor no more,
But from toiling and care sweetly rest;
We will loved ones meet and God’s praises repeat,
Ever safe with the pure and the blest. [Refrain]
