Text: | We Are Working |

Tune: | [We are working for the kingdom] |
Composer: | Clement Hess |
Media: | MIDI file |
1 We are working for the kingdom
That shall never, never end,
As we journey thro’ this world of strife and sin,
Pointing lost ones to a Savior,
Christ their best and truest friend,
That the crown of life eternal they may win.
Refrain:
We are working, ever working,
For the kingdom of the Savior we adore;
We are working, ever working,
And we’ll praise His glorious name forevermore!
2 We are working, watching, praying,
Whether bright or dark the way,
Trusting Him who gave His life our souls to save;
And we’ll press with courage onward,
Serving Him from day to day,
Till we reach that blissful home beyond the grave. [Refrain]
3 All our toils will be forgotten
When our Savior we shall greet,
In that bright, eternal city built above;
And with those we’ve helped to rescue,
Endless praises we’ll repeat,
Ever sharing in the fullness of His love. [Refrain]
