| Text: | The Glorious City |
| Author: | C. M. S. |
| Tune: | [In the realms of light and glory] |
| Composer: | C. M. Seamans |
1. In the realms of light and glory
There's a city pure and bright;
City blest of Bible story
Far too pure for mortal sight.
Chorus:
Oh, the sweet and blessed story!
City filled with light and love;
Soon 'tis coming down from glory
Coming down from God above.
2. 'Tis a city for immortals,
Clear as crystal, dazzling white;
In its walls twelve pearly portals
Lead to joy and pure delight. [Chorus]
3. Now my soul is filled with gladness
As I read of streets of gold;
There will come no tinge of sadness
When within that sacred fold. [Chorus]
4. Sun and moon are needed never
In that city fair to shine;
For its streets are lighted ever
By the Lord and Lamb divine. [Chorus]
