25. The Hidden Treasure

1 Better far than any pleasure,
Any joys that earth can yield,
Is to find the hidden treasure
Buried in God’s chosen field.

I have joys that know no measure,
Pleasures boundless, full and free,
For I’ve found the hidden treasure,
And ‘tis more than life to me!

2 Mine forever! none can steal it,—
None can ever take away,
For the Saviour mine did seal it
Safe for me against that day. [Refrain]

3 ‘Tis the seal that I’m forgiven,
On this solid rock I stand,
And I’ll safely enter heaven
With this treasure in my hand. [Refrain]
