1 From central throne of dazzling white
The loving Saviour came;
In this sad world of deepest night
He bore our sin and shame.

Jesus died for me,
Died on Calvary;

2 Upon the cross the Saviour died
In awful agony;
From His pierced form a crimson tide
Flowed out for you and me. [Refrain]

3 He rose triumphant from the grave,
And ever lives above;
He waits from every sin to save,
And perfect us in love. [Refrain]

4 O hearken to His loving call,
“Come unto me and rest”!
He died on Calvary for all;
