63. The Sure Foundation

1. I will build my house upon the Rock,
And I know it will stand forever;
Tho' the rains descend and fierce winds blow,
I am sure it will fall, no never.

Rock of my salvation;

On the sure foundation

2. No foundation can by man be laid,
Than the one which the Lord hath taken;
'Tis a Corner Stone precious, elect,
By the tempests of earth ne'er shaken. [Chorus]

3. On the solid Rock I'll dwell secure,
And I'll sing of the sure foundation,
Till the storms of life are over past,
Then rejoice in complete salvation. [Chorus]
