| Text: | Galilee |
| Author: | Rev. W. C. Martin |
| Tune: | [O Galilee, O sacred sea] |
| Composer: | J. M. Black |
1 O Galilee, O sacred sea,
With hallowed thoughts we turn to thee,
And think of Him who walked thy shore,
And all our sins and sorrows bore.
Refrain:
O Galilee, fair Galilee,
Thy billows how we long to see,
For He who came our souls to save,
Hath walked upon thy rolling wave.
2 Thou Galilee, shalt ever be
Thro’ all the world a hallowed sea,
For He whose feet thy waters trod
Was Jesus, only Son of God. [Refrain]
3 Mad Galilee, wild stormy sea,
His voice brought peace, great peace to thee.
Our hearts He calms thus by His will;
He still is saying “peace be still. [Refrain]
