1 Now is the time; for this day’s setting sun
May be the signal that thy race is run;
Jesus is waiting at the mercy-seat;
O come and lay your burdens at His feet.

Come, O come! the Spirit bids you come!
Come, O come and seek your heav’nly home!
Jesus still invites you why then longer wait?
Hasten, for tomorrow may be too late!

2 Now is the time; the Spirit’s gentle voice
Is calling thee to make the better choice;
Kindly persuasive is the loving call,
Which offers peace and pardon unto all. [Chorus]

3 Now is the time; beyond the narrow grave
Repentance there will have no pow’r to save;
O, turn from sin, and heav’nward set your face,
Accept salvation as the gift of grace. [Chorus]
