27. To Arms! To Arms!

1 Forth from the King’s eternal throne,
There comes the cry for men,
Who dare to fight for God and right,
Against the hosts of sin.

Refrain:
To arms! to arms!
The cry is heard,
Come rally ‘round the cross,
His bidding do
Who calleth you,
Go strive to save the lost.

2 Put on the armour of your God,
Gird on His mighty sword,
Then rally ‘round the cross and fight,
Till peace shall be restored. [Refrain]

3 No compromise while sin remains,
No flag of truce we give,
We fight that earth’s remotest bounds
Shall bow to Him and live. [Refrain]
