108. The All Atoning Blood

1 For Jesus’ glory, I’ll tell the story,
Of how He died for me;
His love o’erflowing, His mercy showing,
To me on Calvary.

Chorus:
It was the blood, the precious blood that took my sins away,
‘Tis still the blood, the precious blood which makes me whole today;
My passport at the gate of Heav’n, my trust in death’s dark flood;
My song in life, my hope in death, The all-atoning blood.

2 The world denied Him, and crucified Him,
His heart with anguish wring;
He bore my burden, and bought my pardon,
When on the cross He hung. [Chorus]

3 No condemnation, but full salvation,
Is there for ev’ry one;
Who comes believing, God’s grace receiving,
Thro’ merits of His Son. [Chorus]

4 Hear Mercy crying, to sinners dying,
Get right with God today;
Thro’ prayer prevailing, and blood availing,
There is no other way. [Chorus]
