1 The battle is waging against sin and wrong,
The hosts of Jehovah are marching along,
And brave Christian soldiers are bearing the brunt,
Why stand ye here idle? reserves to the front!

Reserves to the front, arise, force the battle,
Reserves to the front, fear not sin’s loud rattle;
O let not your comrades bear all of the brunt,
Arise ye and help them, reserves to the front!

2 Let not other soldiers gain all the reward,
Arise and be doing and follow the Lord,
A crown He has promised to all who shall win,
Then up, press the battle against hosts of sin. [Refrain]

3 Let not other soldiers be braver than you,
Arise, show your colors, to God ever true,
Press on, share the struggle, the glory, reward,
Press on, bravely battle, your trust in the Lord. [Refrain]
