38. My Soul’s True Home

1 There is a home that waits for me,
Where shadows never fall,
Its holy light by faith I see,
And I hear sweet voices call.

Refrain:
Oh, home, true home of my longing soul!
Soon I’ll enter its gates divine,
And while the ages eternal roll
Its glory will on me shine.

2 A-down from heights where angels dwell,
Float winning tones of love,
Amid the toils of earth they tell
Of that resting place above. [Refrain]

3 My heart rejoices as I dream
Of bliss I soon shall know,
Where walls of jasper brightly gleam
And the living waters flow. [Refrain]

4 I look beyond the mists of time
To joys that are to come,
And seek that fair celestial clime
Where I’ll find my soul’s true home. [Refrain]
