5. I Can Never Tell the Half

1 I’ve a joy so sweet I never can express it,
Since the wonder-working Savior set me free;
And no matter how I try,
Or the words I multiply,
I can never tell the half He is to me.

Refrain:
He is wonderful, no tongue can ever tell it;
In His fullness there is constant victory;
Had I thousand tongues to swell it,
I could never, never tell it,—
What the Savior in His fullness is to me.

2 When I faced the lost I often felt my weakness,
How I longed to speak and pray with liberty;
But I praise the Lord, it came
With the sanctifying flame,
I can never tell what Jesus did for me. [Refrain]

3 Ere He poured on me the fullness of the blessing,
Oft I found it hard to serve Him joyfully;
But now ever since the hour
Jesus came in cleansing pow’r,
I can never tell the half He is to me. [Refrain]
