1 Speed the news along in joyful song,
The message sweet to bring;
Christ for sinners slain, now lives again,
Let each note with gladness ring.

Speed the joyful news along,
Sing the glad triumphant song;
In the Saviour’s name we’ll conquer wrong,
So speed the news along.

2 Speed the news along, He’ll right the wrong,
From sin give full release;
He will fill the days with wondrous praise,
And a sweet abiding peace. [Refrain]

3 Speed the news along, and lift the song,
A glad and sweet refrain;
King of kings is He, and strong are we,
For we “follow in His train.” [Refrain]
