151. What He Did for Me

1 When the Savior died to save me,
When He hung on Calvary,
It was then He paid my ransom,
Loosed my sin and set me free.

Refrain:
O the love that sealed my pardon!
O the grace that set me free!
Would that I could tell to others
What the Savior did for me!

2 I was weak and heavy laden,
And my soul was sore opprest,
Till I heard the invitation,
Came and find the promised rest. [Refrain]

3 And I feared to face the judgment,
Meet the Christ I did not know,
Till He pardoned my transgressions,
Make me whiter than the snow. [Refrain]

4 Now my heart is overflowing
With the glory of His love,
And I’m on my way, rejoicing,
To my home in heav’n above. [Refrain]
