18. Sun and Rain

1 Dropping, dropping falls the rain,
from the sky.
Gazing thro' the window pane,
we wonder why.

Chorus:
Ev'rywhere, flowers fair,
Shade their fragrance on the air,
Ev'ry day praising God for his care.

2 Shining, shining, comes the sun,
all the day,
But when all his work is done,
he hides away. [Chorus]

3 Flowers bloom in sweet content,
on the plain,
We know why the Lord has sent
the sun and rain. [Chorus]
