1 Hark, the herald angels sing,
“Glory to the new-born King;
"Peace on earth, and mercy mild,
"God and sinners reconcil'd.

2 Joyful, all ye nations rise,
Join the triumphs of the skies,
Hail the heaven-born Prince of peace!
Hail the Son of righteousness!

3 Come, desire of nations, come,
Fix in us thy humble home;
Come, the woman's promis'd seed,
Bruise in us the serpent's head.

4 Glory to the new-born King!
Let us all the anthem sing,
"Peace on earth, and mercy mild,
"Go and sinners reconcil'd!"
