1 Savior, be with me ev’ry hour,
For oh! I need Thy saving pow’r;
Hold Thou my hand, Lord, speak to me,
And cause my blinded eyes to see.

Refrain:
Savior, I plead with Thee!
My Guide and Keeper be!
Merciful One, receive my cry,
For without Thee I must die!

2 Rough was Thy way to Calvary,
Where Thou wast lifted up for me;
Yet in Thy mercy hear my cry,
For without Thee, Lord, I must die. [Refrain]

3 Tho’ I have many times denied
Thy name, yet still with me abide;
Purge me from sin! oh, make me pure,
That I temptation may endure. [Refrain]

4 When I have reached the river side,
Be with me thro’ the swelling tide;
Then with the ransomed on that shore
I’ll praise Thy name forevermore. [Refrain]
