64. My Grace is Sufficient for Thee

1 When night settles down on my pathway,
And sunlight no longer I see;
The light of this promise shines round me;
“My grace is sufficient for thee.”

Refrain:
“My grace is sufficient for thee,”
“My grace is sufficient for thee,”
The words of my Saviour are precious to me,
“My grace is sufficient for thee;”
No matter how thorny the pathway,
Or weary the journey may be,
Tho’ foes may assail, His word cannot fail,
“My grace is sufficient for thee.”

2 Sometimes the rude cross seems too heavy,
And fainting, I long to be free;
Just then comes the Master’s assurance:
“My grace is sufficient for thee.” [Refrain]

3 When fiercely the conflict is raging,
And fearing, I’m tempted to flee;
The words of my Captain give vict’ry;
“My grace is sufficient for thee.” [Refrain]

4 And so I press onward to glory,
Whatever the trial may be;
I find it is true as He promised,
“My grace is sufficient for thee.” [Refrain]
