89. We Are the Church

There comes a time when we heed the Gospel call:
When the church must come together as one:
There are people dying, and it's time to spread the word,
Show them Jesus, the greatest gift of all:

Give him your life, let the world know how much we care:
That their lives - would be - happy and free,
As God has shown us, Jesus dying on the tree:
Shed his blood - and he did it for you and me:

We are the church,
We are God's children:
We are the ones to show the world the way
So let's start giving,

There's a choice we're making,
We're giving him our lives,
That the world would see a brighter day through you and me.

We're God's own children, we are God's big family:
We need each other - working hard - to set men free:
The world is dying, we must lend a helping hand:
That other people could see the truth, and take a stand:

Chorus:
When you're down and out, there seems no hope at all:
But if you just believe, there's no way we can fall:
Well let us realize, that a change will only come,
When we - stand together as one - as one:
[Chorus twice]
