1 To the cross my heart is clinging,
For ‘twas there my Saviour died;
IN its shadow I am resting,
And my soul is satisfied.

To the cross, the hallowed cross,
The cross where Jesus died for me,
Evermore my heart is clinging,
To the blessed cross of Calvary.

2 To the cross my heart is clinging,
Jesus is my hope, my all;
Tho’ sometimes I fear and falter,
Never will He let me fall. [Refrain]

3 To the cross my heart is clinging,
Never shall it love its pow’r;
And to me it grows more precious
Ev’ry day and ev’ry hour. [Refrain]

And I know, some blessed day,
I shall dwell in His sweet presence,
