94. Redemption’s Song

1 O Joyous day that fixed my heart,
On Thee, my Saviour, dear,
O happy moment, gladsome thought,
That made my pathway clear.

Refrain:
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Evermore my song shall be,
All my sins were laid on Jesus,
I’ve been redeemed!

2 Tho’ strangely won by sinful love,
My footprints deep in sin,
I heard the message from above,
And hastened back to Him. [Refrain]

3 He welcomed me with smiling face,
And sweetly bid me stay;
From such a throne of saving grace,
O may I never stray. [Refrain]

4 And so, thro’ all my length of days,
I’ll render praise to Him,
Who guideth me in all my ways,
And keeps me pure within. [Refrain]

5 And when at last my journey’s o’er,
When earthly cares are gone,
I’ll sing with loved ones on that shore,
The glad Redemption Song. [Refrain]
