1 Blest Comforter, abide with me;
The clouds will lift, the shadows flee;
The heav’nly light will shine within,
And drive away the mists of sin.

I open wide my heart to thee;

Come, evermore abide with me.

2 Blest Comforter, the truth is thine;
Make me to know the word divine;
Explain the grace of Christ to me,

To conquer sin, each passing hour;
