1 Shining in the morning,
By the Master’s pow’r,
His own light adorning
Ev’ry wayside flow’r;
This our glad endeavor,
Spreading round us ever;
From above bright rays of love
Shall ever shine.

Steadily, steadily shining, brightly shining,
Steadily, steadily shining all our days;
Shining in his glory, telling out his story,
Steadily, steadily shining, to the Master’s praise.

2 Making home more cheery,
Love, the blessed light,
Makes our lives, once dreary,
Beautiful and bright;
Christ our ways directing,
We his life reflecting;
Words and deeds shall sow the seeds
Of light divine. [Refrain]

3 Tho’ our lot be lowly,
Humble tho’ our place,
We are trusting wholly
In his boundless grace;
Shining for his glory,
Endless then, the story,
When the Lord doth give reward
