99. God Is Love

1 Ev’ry voice in nature sings the same sweet song;
Rivers tell the story as they glide along;
In the sea reflected, on the clouds above,
We may read in flaming letters—“God is love!”

Chorus:
“God is love!” O glad, happy song!
“God is love!” We’ll praise him all day long;
“God is love” Let creation sing;
With the happy music let the whole world ring!

2 In the blessings showered on us day by day;
In the sunshine scattered all along our way;
In the stars he made to shine and taught to move,
We behold the blest assurance—" God is love” [Chorus]

3 In the flowers, painted by his Master hand,
In the message none can fail to understand;
Ev’ry mountain lifts its tow’ring head to prove
“God is wisdom, pow’r and greatness— God is love!” [Chorus]
