1 This world's a field of battle,
But God is on our side,
We must not shrink from danger,
Who serve the Crucified.

Soon ends the battle strife;

And win the crown of life.

2 The ranks of sin are breaking,
Our comrades hold the field;
Their cry is "No surrender,"
