129. In the Hands of Jesus

1 In the hands of Jesus I will trust my soul,
Lay my sin upon Him and my burden roll;
He can break all shackles, He can burst all bands,
I am safe forever resting in His hands.

Safe in the Saviour’s hands;
Safe in His nail-pierc’d hands;
Let us praise the Lord, all with one accord;
For we’re safe forever in His hands.

2 In the hands of Jesus I will rest my way,
Peace is mine, however dark may be the day;
For He labors with me, He can never fail,
In His hands I surely ever will prevail. [Refrain]

3 In the hands of Jesus there is hope for thee,
Guilty one, who nailed them to the cruel tree;
For His mighty power triumphed o’er the grave,
And if thou wilt trust Him, He thy soul will save. [Refrain]
