Text: | Unto My Lord Jehovah Said |
Tune: | ELBING |
Composer: | Peter Sohren |
1 Unto my Lord Jehovah said,
"At my right hand I throne you,
till at your feet, in triumph laid,
your foes their ruler own you."
From Zion shall Jehovah send
your scepter, till before you bend
the knees of proud rebellion.
2 Your saints, to greet your day of might,
in holy raiment muster;
as dewdrops in the morning light
your youths around you cluster.
Jehovah swore and made decree,
"You, King of Righteousness, shall be
a royal Priest forever."
3 The Lord at your right hand shall bring
on rulers desolation;
the Lord shall smite each heathen king,
and judge each rebel nation.
He, swiftly marching in his wrath,
shall quaff the brook upon his path,
and lift his head in glory.
