64. Gather the Children In

1 “Go out in the highway,” the dear Master said;
Gather the children in;
In sweet blooming pastures the lambs must be fed,
Gather the children in.

Refrain:
Gather them into the Shepherd’s fold;
Gather them in from the storms and cold,
Do not forget that the Master said;
“Let them come unto me.”

2 O lead them to Jesus, He’ll bless them today;
Gather the children in;
And teach them to walk in the heaven-ward way,
Gather the children in. [Refrain]

3 There’s room in our classes, there’s room in our hearts,
Gather the children in;
The Master the pow’r of His Spirit imparts,
Gather the children in. [Refrain]

4 Let eyes beam with kindness, let hearts throb with love,
Gather the children in;
And there shall be joy in the Temple above,
Gather the children in. [Refrain]
