H. W. Fox
1817 - 1848 Person Name: Henry Watson Fox Author of "Milhares de milhares ouço" in Hinário Luterano Fox, Henry Watson, M.A., son of G. Townshend Fox, b. at Westoe, in the county of Durham, Oct. 1, 1817; educated at Rugby and Wadh. Coll., Ox.; B.A. 1839; and ordained in 1840. He sailed for S. India in 1841, and there founded the Telegu Mission of the Christian Missionary Society at Masulipatam; became Assistant Sec. to that Society in 1848, and died in Oct. the same year. His widely used hymn:—
I hear ten thousand voices singing. [Foreign Missions] was written for the Jubilee of the C.M.S. in 1848; and included in his Life, &c, in 8 stanzas of 8 lines, but is usually abbreviated as in the Christian Missionary Hymn Book.

Henry Maxwell Wright
1849 - 1931 Translator of "Milhares de milhares ouço" in Hinário Luterano Born in Lisbon, 7 December 1849 to English parents who were Christians. He returned to England and worked in business. After helping Dwight Moody in evangelism campaigns in England in 1874 and 1875 he abandoned his business career and became an evangelist in England and Scotland. He returned to Portugal on several occasions for evangelism meetings and wrote many hymns in Portuguese.

b. 1954 Person Name: Wayne L. Wold, b. 1954 Author of "The Night You Gave Us, God, Has Ended" in All Creation Sings Wayne L. Wold was born April 16, 1954 in Fosston, Minnesota. He presently serves as Associate Professor of Music and College Organist at Hood College in Frederick, MD. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Music degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, a Master of Sacred Music degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia.
Professional Accomplishments:
Over 200 compositions in print.
Numerous articles, several hymn and anthem texts, and two books in print.
Performed with the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, in Lincoln Center, and in numerous churches across the U.S. and in Europe.
Past president of Region One of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians.
Member of the editorial committee for the ELCA's Evangelical Lutheran Worship.
