Let All Creation Bless the Lord

Author: Carl P. Daw, Jr. (1944-) Meter: 8.7.8.7.8.8.7 Appears in 9 hymnals Scripture: Psalm 65 Lyrics: 1 Let all creation bless the Lord, till heaven with praise is ringing. Sun, moon, and stars, peal out a chord, stir up the angels' singing. Sing, wind and rain! Sing, snow and sleet! Make music, day, night, cold and heat: exalt the God who made you. 2 All living things upon the earth, green fertile hills and mountains, sing to the God who gave you birth; be joyful, springs and fountains. Lithe waterlife, bright airborne birds, wild roving beasts, tame flocks and herds: exalt the God who made you. 3 O men and women everywhere, lift up a hymn of glory; all you who know God's steadfast care, tell out salvation's story. No tongue be silent; sing your part, you humble souls and meek of heart; exalt the God who made you. Once more our harvesting is o'er

Meter: 8.8.8.8 Appears in 3 hymnals Scripture: Psalm 65 Lyrics: 1 Once more our harvesting is o'er, A fresh supply laid up in store; The Lord was pleas'd to bless our earth, And fill our souls with joy and mirth. 2 Just such as was our wish and hope; The Lord preserv'd and blest our crop! And through the mercies of the Lord, We had another crop to hoard. 3 God gave the late and early rain, Therefore we labour'd not in vain; Had he not sent his blessings down, In vain our fields would have been sown. 4 By the rich bounties of our God, We still obtain supply and food; The air, and heat, and gentle show'rs, Makes all those blessings to be ours. 5 Such blessings make us truly blest, While they are by us here possess'd; O! let us render thanks and praise To God, for all such acts of grace. Topics: Thanksgiving for the Fruits &c.

O Lord, Whose Bounteous Hand Again

Author: Unknown Meter: 8.8.8.8.8.8 Appears in 3 hymnals Scripture: Psalm 65:9 Lyrics: 1 O Lord, whose bounteous hand again Hath poured Thy gifts in plenty down, Who all creation dost sustain And all the earth with goodness crown, Lord of the harvest, here we own Our joy to be Thy gift alone. 2 Oh, may we ne'er with thankless heart Forget from whom our blessings flow! Still, Lord, Thy heav'nly grace impart; Still teach us what to Thee we owe. Lord, may our lives with fruit divine Return Thy care and prove us Thine. 3 Lord, grant that we who sow to Thee With joy in endless life may reap. Of ev'ry heart the Guardian be; By day and night Thy servants keep That all to Thee may joy afford On Thy great harvest-day, O Lord. Amen.
