Author: Erik Routley Meter: 8.7.8.7 Appears in 33 hymnals Scripture: Isaiah 1:21-26 Lyrics: 1 All who love and serve your city, all who bear its daily stress, all who cry for peace and justice, all who curse and all who bless: 2 In your day of wealth and plenty, wasted work and wasted play, call to mind the word of Jesus, "You must work while it is day." 3 For all days are days of judgment, and the Lord is waiting still, drawing near a world that spurns him, offering peace from Calvary's hill. 4 Risen Lord, shall yet the city be the city of despair? At the Lamb's High Feast We Sing

Author: Robert Campbell, 1814-1868 Hymnal: Lift Up Your Hearts #832 (2013) Meter: 7.7.7.7 D Scripture: Isaiah 1:18-20 Lyrics: 1 At the Lamb's high feast we sing praise to our victorious King, who has washed us in the tide flowing from his wounded side. Praise we Christ, whose love divine gives his sacred blood for wine, gives his body for the feast– Christ the victim, Christ the priest. 2 Where the paschal blood is poured death's dread angel sheathes the sword; Israel's hosts triumphant go through the wave that drowns the foe. Praise we Christ, whose blood was shed, paschal victim, paschal bread; with sincerity and love eat we manna from above. 3 Mighty victim from the sky, hell's fierce powers beneath you lie; you have conquered in the fight, you have brought us life and light. Now no more can death appall, now no more the grave enthrall; you have opened paradise, and your saints in you shall rise. 4 Easter triumph, Easter joy, this alone can sin destroy! From sin's power, Lord, set us free, newborn souls in you to be. Father, who the crown shall give; Savior, by whose death we live; Spirit, guide through all our days: Three in One, your name we praise. A Broken Heart, My God, My King

Author: Isaac Watts, 1674-1748 Hymnal: African Methodist Episcopal Church Hymnal #308 (2011) Meter: 8.8.8.8 Scripture: Isaiah 1:18 Lyrics: 1 A broken heart, my God, my King, To Thee a sacrifice I bring; The God of grace will ne'er despise A broken heart for sacrifice. 2 My soul lies humbled in the dust, And owns Thy dreadful sentence just; Look down, O Lord, with pitying eye, And save the soul condemned to die. 3 Then will I teach the world Thy ways; Sinners shall learn Thy sovereign grace; I'll lead them to my Savior's blood, And they shall praise a pardoning God. 4 O may Thy love inspire my tongue! Salvation shall be all my song; And all my powers shall join to bless The Lord, my strength and righteousness. Amen. Topics: The Christian Life Prayer and Intercession; Confession; Forgiveness; Salvation Languages: English Tune Title: GERMANY
