1 I have heard a message sweet from the Lord today,
Which has filled my soul with joy to know,
Plainly doth the word declare, “Tho’ your sins be red,
Yet they shall be whiter than the snow.”
Refrain:
Whiter than the snow,
Whiter than the snow,
Plainly doth the word declare, “Tho’ your sins be red,
Yet they shall be whiter than the snow.”
2 “Whosoever will may come,” surely that means me,
Tho’ my garments have the crimson glow,
I may freely wash the stains in the crimson flood,
Till they shall be whiter than the snow.” [Refrain]
3 “Come, ye heavy ladened ones,” saith the blessed Lord
“There is healing balm for all your owe;
Tho’ your sins as scarlet be, yet the sacred stream
Quickly washes them as white as snow.” [Refrain]
