Representative Text

1 I’ve a song of delight in my heart all the while,
For Jesus is keeping my soul;
All the trials of life I can face with a smile,
For Jesus is keeping my soul.

Refrain:
Yes, Jesus is keeping my soul,
Is keeping me happy and whole;
Whatsoever the way I’ve a song ev’ry day,
For Jesus is keeping my soul.

2 Ev’ry storm I can face with assurance most sweet,
For Jesus is keeping my soul;
And the tempter, I know, I shall surely defeat,
For Jesus is keeping my soul. [Refrain]

3 I shall see Him at last in the city of joy,
For Jesus is keeping my soul;
There my voice in His praise I shall ever employ,
For Jesus is keeping my soul. [Refrain]

4 With a wonderful throng I shall rest in His love,
For Jesus is keeping my soul;
And the crown I shall war in His palace above,
For Jesus is keeping my soul. [Refrain]
